Jaafar Mouhyi

Dr. Jaafar Mouhyi was born and raised in Morocco. He went to dental school in Belgium where he obtained his DDS from the Free University of Brussels (ULB). He went on to become an assistant clinical professor in general dentistry at ULB. He furthered his education by attending the Flemish Free University of Brussels (VUB) where he obtained in 1992 a Master in Biomedical engineering with a focus in laser therapy. The following year he obtained a Clinical Training Diploma from the Brånemark clinic at Göteborg University. From 1994 to 2000 he was the head of the department of Oral rehabilitation & Implantology at St Pierre University Hospital in Brussels. Dr. Mouhyi has been actively involved in and has been at the helm of many dental societies and organizations and his research activities are in the field of biomaterials research. From 2004 to 2012 he was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Diagnostic sciences at the University of Southern California. He is the founding and academic director of the Casablanca Oral Rehabilitation Training & Education Center in Casablanca and Editorial Board member/Reviewer at the Clinical Implant Dentistry & Related Research Journal.
