He graduated from the School of Dentistry of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and the Military School of Combat Support Officers in 2003 and sworn in as Second Lieutenant of the Medical Service Corps. During his studies, he received scholarships and awards of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). In 2004 he was trained in the Maxillosurgery clinic of 401 Military Hospital of Athens in the field of oral surgery. Since 2005, he has a private practice in the town of Mytilene, performing general dentistry with emphasis on microscopic dentistry, implantology, in specific computer guided implant surgery. In 2015 he retired from the army and has been a private practitioner since then.

He has published papers in Greek and foreign periodicals.

He founded since 2017 his own series of courses GOAL(Guided Open Advanced Learning) where he shares his experience on computer guided implantology,intraoral scanning and 3d printing.Since 2019 he is a member of Bio-Emulation dentistry group.

Ioannis Vergoullis

Dr. Ioannis Vergoullis graduated from the Dental School of the Kapodestrian
University of Athens, Greece in 1999. He received his Certificate in Periodontics and
Masters degree in Oral Biology from the Louisiana State University School of
Dentistry, New Orleans, USA in 2005.
Dr Vergoullis is the leading Periodontist at the Vergoullis Dental Clinic
in Rhodes, Greece and a Visiting Assistant Professor of the
Periodontics Department at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New
Orleans, USA.
Dr. Vergoullis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow
and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He holds thirteen patents in the field of dental implantology.
