Nitzan Bichacho
ISRAEL

Nitzan Bichacho, D.M.D. holds the post of expert in prosthodontics at the rank of Professor, at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. He is a Faculty Member of the Prosthodontics Departments at the Dental Schools of both the Jerusalem Hebrew University and the Tel Aviv University. He is Past President and a Life Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and serves at the editorial boards of leading international dental journals.

He is a co-inventor of the Nobel Active Implant System, the V3 implant system (MIS/Dentsply) and is the conceptor of other techniques that have become widely used around the world. Prof. Bichacho has been publishing and lecturing worldwide in the fields of dental implant therapy, fixed prosthodontics, interdisciplinary treatments and innovative treatment modalities in esthetic dentistry. His private practice in Tel Aviv focuses on interdisciplinary treatments, where he collaborates with multinational master dental technicians.

Eric van Dooren
BELGIUM

Dr. Eric Van Dooren attended the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, where he received his degree in dentistry in 1982. After graduating he opened a private practice in Antwerp, Belgium, which is limited to periodontics, fixed prosthodontics, and implants.
Currently Dr. Van Dooren is a Visiting Professor at University of Liege ( Belgium) and University of Marseille . He is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr Van Dooren lectures nationally and internationally , mainly on aesthetics,implants and aesthetic periodontal surgery.

Galip Gurel
TURKEY

Dr. Galip Gurel graduated from the University of Istanbul, Dental School in 1981. He continued his education at the University of Kentucky, Department of Prosthodontics. Received his MSc degree from Yeditepe University in, Istanbul.

Dr. Gurel is the founder and the honorary president of EDAD (Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry). He is the past president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) for 2011 & 2012. He is also a member of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics (ASDA) and American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (AARD) and the honorary diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry (ABAD) . He is also the editor-in-chief of the Quintessence Magazine in Turkey and on the editorial board of the AACD journal, PPAD (Practical Procedure & Aesthetic Dentistry), EJED (European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry). He has been lecturing on dental aesthetics all over the world and giving post graduate lectures on aesthetics dentistry.

He is a visiting professor at the New York University (USA) , Marseille Dental University (France) and Istanbul Yeditepe University (Turkey).
He is the author of “The Science and Art of Porcelain Laminate Veneers” published by Quintessence publications in 2003 translated into 10 different languages.
He has been practicing in his own clinic in Istanbul, specializing in Aesthetic Dentistry, since 1984. A renown sportsman, Dr. Gurel has been the Captain of the Turkish National Team of Water Polo for 110 times, a World Champion of the Camel Trophy and a participant of the Paris-Dakar Rally.

Pietro Felicce
ITALY

Prof. Pietro Felice graduated in Dentistry and subsequently in Medicine at the University of Bologna. He completed his research doctorate in Dermatological, Maxillofacial and Plastic Reconstructive Sciences. He is currently Associate Professor of Dental Sciences at Bologna University lecturing in Oral Surgery and in Implant Surgery in the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses. He is Head of the Post-graduate School in Oral Surgery and Director of the Master Degree in Implant and Bone Augmentation Surgery. Prof. Felice has published many articles in international journals and serves on the editorial board of specialist international journals. He is a member of leading international associations of implantology and dental surgery.

Ioannis Vergoullis

Masters degree in Oral Biology from the Louisiana State University School of
Dentistry, New Orleans, USA in 2005.
Dr Vergoullis is the leading Periodontist at the Vergoullis Dental Clinic
in Rhodes, Greece and a Visiting Assistant Professor of the
Periodontics Department at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New
Orleans, USA.
Dr. Vergoullis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow

Kostas Karagiannopoulos

Sotiria Gizani
GREECE

Sotiria Gizani obtained her Dental Degree from the University of Thessaloniki and then completed her 6-year postgraduate studies in Paediatric Dentistry at the KU Leuven (Belgium), including her “Master in Dental Sciences” and Doctorate (PhD). Afterwards she returned to Greece and since then she has been working at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, initially as a lecturer and later as an Assistant Professor. She is currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Department as well as Director of the Postgraduate program at the same University which is one of the seven EAPD accredited postgraduate programs in Europe. She has served on several committees in EAPD and she is currently the Secretary of EAPD as well as coordinator of the Galileo Project of the Academy. She has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals and received international awards. Her research interests focus mainly on clinical trials regarding prevention and management of caries in young children, early orthodontic treatment, oral health care of patients with special needs and vulnerable children as well as communication and behavior management in the dental setting.

Christos Angelopoulos
GREECE

Dr Angelopoulos is a graduate of the Aristotle University, School of Dentistry, Thessaloniki, Greece. His post-doctoral training includes a 3yr internship in Oral Surgery (Aristotle University, 1997) and a 1yr GPR program (Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, 1999). In addition, he has completed a 3yr Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology residency program at University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry (2001) and he was awarded the MS degree in Oral Biology (2002). He has completed has PhD degree in 2009. His degree was the result of a collaborative effort between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr Angelopoulos is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists. He has held academic appointments at University of Missouri-Kansas City (assistant professor 2002-2007) and a t Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine (associate professor and director of the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology, 2007-2011). He is currently serving as maxillofacial radiology consultant at the Bronx Hospital of Veterans Affairs. Dr Angelopoulos is the Executive Director of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and has served in the Executive Council of this organization for more than 7 yrs. He is the Associate Editor of Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology (OOOO). He has published more than 30 scientific papers and has spoken in several conventions and CE courses, nationally as well as internationally, on a variety of radiology topics. His main research interests include diagnostic ultrasound, cone beam computed tomography, implant imaging etc. Dr Angelopoulos is licensed in the states of Missouri and New York. He also holds a dental license in Thessaloniki, Greece. He maintains a private practice dedicated to oral and maxillofacial image interpretation and consultation services.

Panagiotis Lampropoulos

Dr. med. dent. Panagiotis J. Lampropoulos
Panagiotis Lampropoulos was born in Athens in 1977. He finished school at the German School of Athens (1995) and enrolled at Dental School Albert-Ludwig University in Freiburg, Germany, after taking the state exam (Abitur). In 2000 he began the preparation of his doctoral thesis at the Prosthodontics department and in 2003 he received his Doctorate of Dental Faculty from the University of Freiburg (Dr. Med. Dent) as a postgraduate student. Furthermore in 2001 he attended a postgraduate program in Applied Management in Dentistry. In 2004 he returned to Greece and fulfilled his military service as a dentist. From 2005 to 2013 he worked as a research associate and from 2019 he is clinical instructor in the postgraduate program in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr. Panagiotis Lampropoulos has graduated the EAO’s Master diploma in implant dentistry (Class 2017). He maintains a private practice in Athens since 2005 limited to prosthetic dentistry and dental implants. He has trained dentists in implant prosthetics and he is an international trainer for MIS, Dentsply. He is a member and a registered speaker of the ITI (International Team of Implantology), member of EAO (European Association of Osseointegration), the European Prosthodontic Association (EPA) and the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) and an active member of Hellenic Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.  He is member of the board of Stomatological Society of Greece and of the Greek Prosthodontic Society. Panagiotis Lampropoulos is an international speaker and has made numerous presentations in multiple conferences about guided implantology and digital dentistry.

Michele Temperani
ITALY

Michele Temperani is a certified dental technician who specialized in the field of fixed denture prosthetics in the USA, where he attended the courses of the Tanaka Dental Technology Institute and the seminars of Masahiro Kuwata at the University of Washington. For three years, he was the head of the ceramic department at Kiyosato Okamoto dental lab in Seattle ( USA ). Since 1990, he has been co-owner of a dental laboratory in Florence together with is brother where he specializes in aesthetic ceramic restorations. He has been using the press technique for the fabrication of all-ceramic restorations since 1998. He conducts courses and holds lectures at international meetings on a regular basis and is the author of numerous publications.

Rafael Beolchi
PORTUGAL

Dr. Rafael Beolchi majored in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in the year 2000. He has maintained a private practice since 2001, working mainly in aesthetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation. In 2009 he received his Master's degree on Biomaterials from the Institute of Energetic and Nuclear Research, from the same University.

He teaches around the world, focusing on advanced handling of dental materials with an easy step-by-step approach that simplifies the procedure and has presented several lectures and workshops addressing those topics in North, Central & South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, in more than 60 countries.

Dr. Beolchi is currently based in Portugal, where he finished his second Master’s degree, in Dental Medicine, working as a dentist and as consultant for esthetic products and materials for the Dental industry, applying his clinical and scientific knowledge in the development of new and better dental products.

He is the author of several articles in Portuguese, Spanish and English, about the topics of direct placed esthetic restorations and lightcuring, topics on which he still maintains his activity as a researcher until today. He also the author of book chapters on the same fields and collaborates on studies with several other institutions around the world.

Konstantinos Laghios
GREECE

Dr. Constantinos Laghios received his DDS from Athens Dental School in 1984. From 1984 to 1994 he practiced general dentistry in Athens Greece, with emphasis on aesthetics-prosthetics. From 1994 to 1997 he participated in the Endodontic Program at Baylor College School of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where he received a Certificate in Endodontics and his Master’s degree.

In 1997 he founded the Advanced Endodontic Center in Athens, where he practices and gives courses. He lectures in Greece, USA and Europe, on the topics of advanced techniques in Endodontics, and the use of the surgical microscope. His articles have been published in Greek and international journals. His treatments have been published in “Pathways of the Pulp”, as well as in textbooks in Europe and USA.
Dr. Laghios has been awarded honorary titles for his contribution to the progress of science and developments in the field of Endodontics. In 2007 he became a member of the GIDE/UCLA Scientific Team and teaches in the Implantology training program. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists. He is the scientific publisher of the Endo-Perio Greek journal. He is the founder and honorary President of the “Greek Academy of Microscopic Dentistry”.

Nefeli Laghios
GREECE

Dr. Nefelie Laghios D.D.S., was born in Dallas, Texas USA, and raised in Athens, Greece. Her undergraduate studies on Dental Surgery were at the European University of Madrid (UEM).

Participated in a three year program in Advanced Clinical Endodontics and Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA, 2020-2023).

Attended some of the most advanced courses with leading experts in the field of dentistry like Pascal Magne, Ed Mclaren, Frank Spear Academy, Nazariy Mykhaylyuk, Florin Cofar etc.

Georgios Tsilingaridis

Dr. Georgios Tsilingaridis graduated at the Karolinska Institute in 1997. In 2004, he completed his pediatric dentistry specialisation at the Eastman Institute in Stockholm, and in 2013 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Karolinska Institute.

He is currently associate professor, head of the division of Pediatric Dentistry and vice dean at the department of Dental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet. He is also director of studies for all post-graduate education in the Region of Stockholm.

He is the past-president of the Swedish Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the past-president of the Swedish national group of directors for studies for postgraduate education. He is a board-member of the IADT and works in several committees in the IADT as well as in EAPD.

He is the author and co-author of several original scientific publications, co-author of Chapters 12, 16 and 17 in the Textbook and Color Atlas of Traumatic Injuries to the Teeth, 5th Edition, and co-author of the recently published IADT trauma guidelines.

Jaafar Mouhyi
Morocco

Dr. Jaafar Mouhyi was born and raised in Morocco. He went to dental school in Belgium where he obtained his DDS from the Free University of Brussels (ULB). He went on to become an assistant clinical professor in general dentistry at ULB. He furthered his education by attending the Flemish Free University of Brussels (VUB) where he obtained in 1992 a Master in Biomedical engineering with a focus in laser therapy. The following year he obtained a Clinical Training Diploma from the Brånemark clinic at Göteborg University. From 1994 to 2000 he was the head of the department of Oral rehabilitation & Implantology at St Pierre University Hospital in Brussels. Dr. Mouhyi has been actively involved in and has been at the helm of many dental societies and organizations and his research activities are in the field of biomaterials research. From 2004 to 2012 he was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Diagnostic sciences at the University of Southern California. He is the founding and academic director of the Casablanca Oral Rehabilitation Training & Education Center in Casablanca and Editorial Board member/Reviewer at the Clinical Implant Dentistry & Related Research Journal.

Stefanos Karakousoglou

He graduated from the School of Dentistry at the University of Athens.
He pursued postgraduate studies in orthodontics at LOYOLA UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, where he obtained the specialty of Orthodontics and the title of Master of Science.
In 1981, during his military service, he offered his services as an orthodontist at the General Air Force Hospital (251 GNA) for one year.
Since 1982, he has been practicing as an orthodontist in his private clinic in Athens. His main focus is achieving functional and aesthetic results through orthodontic treatment, using external or lingual orthodontic appliances.
He is a member of the American and World Federation of Orthodontists, as well as the Greek Orthodontic Societies.
He participates in orthodontic conferences in the United States, Europe, and Greece.
He is married and has four daughters.

Maria Karakousoglou
GREECE

Dr. Maria Karakousoglou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She attended dental school at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and graduated with her dental degree in 2016. Following her graduation, she worked as a general dentist, gaining valuable experience in collaboration with orthodontists. Seeking further training in orthodontics, she relocated to the US and completed a three-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA) School of Dentistry, earning a master’s degree in Dental Sciences. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in lingual orthodontics at UTHSA. Currently, she holds a full- time Assistant Professor role at UTHSA with a specialized focus on digital orthodontics.

Dr. Karakousoglou is an ABO Certified Orthodontist and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists. She is the President of the American Lingual Orthodontic Association (ALOA) and serves on the board of the San Antonio Chapter of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), as well as the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR).
In her current role at UTHSA, she serves as the Interim Program Director of the Postgraduate Orthodontic Residency Program. Her teaching scope at UTHSA encompasses subjects such as growth and development, lingual orthodontics, digital technology in orthodontics, and aligner treatment.

Dr. Karakousoglou brings extensive experience in managing patients with complex craniofacial anomalies and is skilled in utilizing 3D printing technologies and clear aligner treatments. Her research interests align with her clinical expertise, actively engaging in studies related to the applications of digital technology in orthodontics.
