Dr. Alexandros Manolakis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. After graduating from the University of Freiburg in Germany in 2002, he received his Dr. Med. Dent. degree from the University of Göttingen in Germany in 2003. He was a visiting associate professor in the department of Periodontology in the University of Freiburg until 2004. After attending military service in Greece as a dentist, he maintains since 2006 a private practice specializing dental implants together with his brother, Kleanthis Manolakis, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr. Alexandros Manolakis is coauthor of a German Periodontology Textbook (Praxis der Zahnheilkunde, Parodontologie, 4th Ed; Elsevier, 2005), has published articles in dental journals and held presentations in various international congresses. He is an official teaching mentor for different dental implant systems in Greece and Germany and he is giving lectures as well as hands-on courses with live-surgeries in implantology, soft-tissue-management and bone-management. Areas of special interest include Periodontal Micro-Surgery, Computer-Guided Implant Placement and Immediate Loading of Implants placed in the Edentulous Jaw. He is an affiliate member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).
Dr. Ordonez first received his dental degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota (Colombia) and served as a dental resident before his graduation at San Antonio de Padua Hospital in Boyacá (Colombia); then, he worked as a general practice resident in Cartagena (Colombia) at Blas de Lezo Hospital. Dr. Ordonez made his studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he completed a fellowship in Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD), Dental Occlusion and Facial Pain; he was trained by Dr. Noshir Mehta, Albert Forgione and Harold Gelb in different techniques of conservative TMJ treatment. Dr. Ordonez served as a clinical instructor at Tufts University in the Restorative Dentistry Department. He is a expert consultant in the area of facial pain, and TMJ disorder at the V.A. Hospital in Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, a former consultant and guest speaker at Miami Childrens Hospital, Lindsey Hopkins Research Clinic in the area of TMJ. Dr. Ordonez is also involved in academics with different universities in South America. He is a recognized national and international speaker in the area of TMD, Facial Pain and Implant Dentistry. He is Co-Chair of the ICOI for Latin America and is a member of the editorial Board of Implant Dentistry, the Journal of Osteology and Biomaterials, and the Vice Chair of Clinical Innovations Committee of the American Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Ordonez is also very proud of his affiliation as a full time faculty of the Pikos Institute in Tampa. He has been involved in the development of multiple clinical techniques and instruments available in the market.
Dr. Christian Makary graduated as a doctor of dental surgery in 1993 from St Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He holds a certificate of Oral Surgery from Paris VII University and a postgraduate diploma in Oral Implantology from Bordeaux II University in France. He also holds a diploma in Oral Pathology from Paris VI University and a master degree and PhD in oral biology from St Joseph University Beirut Lebanon. He is an assistant professor and head of the oral surgery department at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of St Joseph University in Beirut. His practice is limited since 1996 to Oral Surgery and Oral Implantology. Dr Makary has several local and international lectures and publications in the field of oral surgery and oral implantology.
Dimitrios Papadimitriou - Periodontist - Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology - Rescue Training International First Aid Instructor - Dr. Dimitrios Papadimitriou is a graduate of School of Dentistry, University of Athens, since 2006. During 2008-2011, he received specialty training in Periodontics and Implants at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, NY. The following year he was awarded the International Team for Oral Implantology (ITI) Scholarship, where he continued his training in Implantology at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences, Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Papadimitriou is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 2012. He is currently part time Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester. Dr. Euwe obtained his degree in 1982 at the University of Utrecht (Holland). His professional career started in Monte Carlo in a general practice, and following this he moved to Italy. Since 1986 his main interests in the dental field have been periodontics and oral implantology, and he has been practicing surgery in his own private office and the offices of various colleagues in Northern Italy. Following numerous post-graduate courses, Dr. Euwe studied under Dr. Sascha Jovanovic at UCLA from 1992 to 1996. Soon after this he began to lecture extensively in Italy and abroad on advanced implantology. He is fluent in English, Italian, German, and Dutch, and speaks a little French. Dr. Euwe is a member of the UCLA European Study Club, and in January of 1997, this group presented him an award for the "Best Clinical-Scientific Presentation." Dr. Euwe is the co-author of several scientific publications. He and his prosthodontist and lab technician won first and second prize in two categories in the international competition of the "Parallelometro d oro 1999" (Dental Labor Journal). He was involved in the Department of Periodontics of the University of Milan at the San Paolo Hospital where he did clinical research on resorption of newly formed bone. Dr. Ilia Roussou received her undergraduate degree in Dentistry (D.D.S) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She obtained her certificate in Prosthodontics from the graduate program of Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. Continuing her graduates studies, Dr. Roussou obtained her certificate in Orofacial Pain from University of Kentucky, in Lexington, USA. In 2004, she obtained her PhD degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Following her professional training Dr. Roussou established a private practice in Athens, limited to Prosthodontics and Orofacial Pain treatment. She is an assistant professor at the department of prosthodontics, dental school, university of Athens, Greece. Dr. Roussou is active member of many professional societies. Her professional affiliations include the European academy of Craniomandibular Disorders (EACD), International College of Dentistry (ICD), European Prosthodontics Society (EPA), European Osseointegration Society. Dr. Roussou lectures extensively nationally and internationally. Her topics of specialty are Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders, Occlusion and Occlusal Discrepancies.
He graduated in medicine in 1990 at the University of Verona and since then he practices dentistry at his private office in Genoa. Among the many postgraduate courses attended, he attended the one-year-course in advanced surgery held by Prof. Massimo Simion in Milan and attended a Master course in Regenerative Surgical Techniques at the University of Pennsylvania. He annually attends the meetings organized by the 'American Academy of Implant Dentistry' and several specialized courses on the techniques of horizontal and vertical bone regeneration. He also participates annually at the Continuing Dental Education at the New York University College of Dentistry, Post Graduate. He periodically gives lectures and provides practical training courses in implantology and bone regeneration techniques at his office. He also speeches at national and international meetings and cooperates with several Italian Universities, lie Milan, Trieste, Modena, Genoa, Pisa and Bologna. The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry published his study reporting a new surgical technique of lingual flap management appropriate in all cases of increase in bone volume. In a short time, on the same magazine, a new clinical study on the management of the buccal flap titled “A novel approach for the coronal advancement of the buccal flap”will be published. Dr. Stavros Pelekanos received his undergraduate degree in Dentistry (D.D.S.) in 1991 from the University of Athens, Greece. In 1993, he obtained his doctoral degree in Prosthodontics (Dr meddent) from the University of Freiburg (Prof. Dr. J.R. Strub), Germany. Following his professional training, Dr. Pelekanos established a private practice in Athens, oriented towards prosthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry. In 2002, he was appointed full-time Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School, University of Athens, Greece, and is now Assistant Professor in the same department. Since 2013 he is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). His professional affiliations include: the International College of Prosthodontics (ICP), European Prosthodontic Association (EPA), Greek Prosthodontic Association and many others. He is a faculty member of gIDE Institute (Global Institute of Dental Education, Los Angeles, California) and Dental Tribune CME lecturing internationally and performing hands on courses on implants, esthetics and restorative procedures. In 2008 and 2011, Dr. Pelekanos received second and first prize at the scientific award competition of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry held in Madrid, Spain and Istanbul, Turkey respectively. To date he has published over twenty articles in peer reviewed journals and 2 chapters in books.
